iPCo Company Profile
Business Education Change Makers

Delivering dynamic management design school processes and knowledge engines for outstanding entrepreneurial real time enterprise development.

Who we are

iPCo is an independent and internationally networked management consultancy company, created by Professor Richard Dealtry, a successful professional international organisation development executive.  His wide experience of both private and public sector experience has enabled him to identify that sustainable business performance improvements can only be achieved through high quality, professionally managed, eclectic new learning.

How both companies and their people can achieve that dynamic management state unrelentingly, continuously and profitably, has been the dedication and the vision of his company.

What we do

LEARN TO LIVE  and  LIVE TO LEARN

This lasting highly valued saying, dating back to Shakespeare’s times, is at the heart of our company’s business practices.

It helps to define the important transition from being taught in a formal educational environment and culture, i.e. when we LEARN TO LIVE in the earlier years of our lives, to the more mature stage in life where we have to take on an increasing amount of “personal responsibility for managing our own learning” when we LIVE TO LEARN in the eclectic learning environment of the real world, with its intensive real-time demand-led culture.

At iPCo we ask people the following questions::

  • Are you aware of the need to make that important transition in your learning behaviour?

  • How are you ensuring high quality in your learning into action outcomes?

  • Is your learning transition being well managed?

  • Are you satisfied with your progress?

  • Are you releasing your full potential and learning capability?

Eclectic learning

- deriving learning from a broad
and varied range of sources

Achieving mastery over your self-managed career and lifestyle learning

The provision of world class processes for accelerating and achieving ‘mastery over your self managed career and lifestyle learning’ is the central dynamic purpose of all our company’s programmes and support services.  The mainstream management processes and platforms that you can use are the:

These open process channels provide learning and development environments for people and organisational teams where they can move forward progressively from the taught dependency and deference of institution-based programmes and become highly skilled, purposeful and professionally focused intelligent eclectic learners situated every day in the business school of life.

Naming

The term Corporate University is widely accepted in some countries, particularly in the USA. However, the term Corporate Academy or Enterprise Academy is the preferred term in Europe, although there are many different names for this top management learning platform.  We choose to use the term Corporate University throughout our site to encompass all these alternatives and derivatives.

On becoming an intelligent learner

We define intelligent learners as those people and learning organisations that are highly responsive and proactive in identifying what new learning they need to learn going forward, how they should learn to meet those needs and when and where they should learn to be effective, efficient and competitive in the business environment.

This transition from being ‘led’ to learning to that of self-directed learning leadership takes time and determination. Moving-on from a foundation legacy of passive learning behaviours to a style of dynamic learning behaviour, is the hard-won central characteristic of successful managers and executives.

Not only do you have to decide what you need to learn for success in each specific situation, you also have to develop skills in the monitoring and evaluation of your learning performance. Making judgements about how effective you are in matching your new learning with the reality of situations and future needs.

Have you identified the new learning needs accurately going forward? Are you using the best and most relevant learning processes, and is the learning into action timely or too late?

Satisfy your ambitions

The many organisations whose logos are represented on this page have used our toolkits and open processes methodologies in different ways to innovate, accelerate and raise their learning into action capabilities. They have also used them to renew and refine their experiential learning best practices.

I invite and welcome you to join this rapidly growing international learning community. Work and enjoy the opportunity to demonstrate your own free will and good judgement to determine and achieve new learning day by day. Acquire those important real time management skills and capabilities that ensure success in the application of the corporate university management concept and to tackle those demand-led challenging situations with renewed confidence.

A typical example is:

  • Just doing your job - but better and in a much more satisfying way

And for more ambitious people:

  • Business turn around situations

  • Credit crunch recovery strategies

  • Outsourcing strategies and evaluations

  • Competitive premium rate knowledge development

  • New learning needs strategies

  • Divisional and subsidiary re-generation projects

  • Project management for raising levels of innovation in products and business processes

  • Energy saving carbon footprint issues

  • Customer-service management and

  • Empirical evidence-based research for policy formulation
