Kohl’s Department Stores (NYSE: KSS) announced a $3 million gift to
the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW-Madison) to establish the
Kohl’s Department Stores Centre for Retailing Excellence.

Corporate Universities are a growing trend, moving from leading
American organizations to European ones. Companies are increasingly
creating their own degree-granting programmes with the purpose of
delivering specific company training to their managerial staff
and providing hands-on and directly applicable learning. These

School and construction firm Styles and Wood provides management and
business skills training for construction professionals and includes
modules that emphasise interdisciplinary teamwork, goal setting and

Trump University's Ivy League entrepreneurship courses have become
part of Virginia Western Community College's Workforce Development
Services "Learn Connect" training. The addition is in response to
Virginia's local economic development programs focused on the growth
of new businesses.

Training is just as integral to a restaurant chain as operations,
real estate and menu development, according to Gail Lyman, Director
of Training and Development for First Hospitality Group. During an
educational session at the National Restaurant Association
Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show, she discussed the components of a good

such as how to motivate employees, communication, leadership, career
