Building Strong Partnerships Between Businesses and Universities

Engendering High Level Engagement

With organisational in-company learning growing in importance and sophistication, managers need to enhance their knowledge of corporate university and enterprise academy intervention platforms, building relationships with academic partners to extend and formalise new knowledge.

In response to the growing need for engagement in this area, managers and staff can participate in our online accelerated action learning programme in Corporate University Best Practice Management. The programme disciplines will enable staff to reach out, support and identify tactical and strategic learning provision to meet the demand-led needs in both private and public organisations.

This 26-week programme is delivered online with a flexible start time to fit with your full-time commitments. The programme is built around 5 action learning work packages, including:

  • reviewing your work based knowledge,

  • understanding the dynamics of organisational capacity and capability development,

  • the creation and management of intellectual capital and how to explore and define future learning needs and relationships in particular situations and circumstances.

The ultimate work package is an action learning project, chosen by the participant, addressing a developmental issue that is specific to your business and that is important in the context of performance engagement with business, commerce or industry. Projects undertaken by programme participants include: relationships with company and learning communities, marketing, process and programme design, in-company programme portfolio development and many more, relating to both formal and informal learning provision.

Participants will receive the G-ACUA Executive Management Award, while the sponsoring business will gain a comprehensive return on their investment based on the project outputs, the increased effectiveness of their staff and an in-depth understanding of the corporate university as a solid method of organisational development and sustainable success.
